Terms of Service

Acceptance

By creating an account or using Language Den, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

Language Den is a vocabulary and flashcard application for language learners. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice.

Your account

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use Language Den.
• One person per account — accounts may not be shared or transferred.

Subscriptions and billing

• Paid features require an active subscription. Pricing is shown on the subscription page.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
• You can cancel at any time via the customer portal. Access continues until the end of the current period; no partial refunds are issued.
• We may change pricing with 30 days notice. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. Language Den never stores your payment card details.

Acceptable use

You may not:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service or its infrastructure.
• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the service in bulk.
• Resell or sublicense access to the service.
• Abuse automated AI features (translation and flashcard generation). We may limit AI usage to prevent abuse; you can always add and edit vocabulary and flashcards manually.

Your content

You retain ownership of the vocabulary, notes, and other content you create. By using Language Den, you grant us a limited licence to store and process that content solely to provide the service to you. We do not use your content for any other purpose.

Intellectual property

Language Den and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Language Den and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the service without prior written permission.

Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We make no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. Your use of the service is at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Language Den shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the service.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from Profile & Settings. Upon termination, your data is deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Significant changes will be noted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Singapore.
