Review Sessions

Work through due cards and rate your recall.

Start a session

Click Review in the sidebar, or Start review on Home. If words are due (or new and ready to learn), the session starts immediately with the first card.

If nothing is due, the Review page shows you are caught up. That is normal — FSRS has pushed those words forward because you recalled them well. You can still start a Practice Session on struggling words.

During a review

Each card shows a prompt — a word, question, cloze sentence, audio cue, or image depending on the flashcard type. Think before you reveal the answer.

Click the card or press Show Answer (Space) to reveal the answer. Rate your recall with Again, Hard, Good, or Easy. The buttons show a preview of the next interval FSRS would assign.

Keyboard shortcuts: 1 Again, 2 Hard, 3 Good, 4 Easy.

Toolbar actions

During review you can Flag a word for later follow-up, Suspend it to remove it from future queues, or edit the current flashcard. Flagging does not change scheduling.

Practice Session

A Practice Session drills your struggling words — accepted words with at least one lapse — regardless of due date. The queue holds up to 20 words, ordered by lapses and difficulty.

Ratings in a Practice Session still record Reviews and update FSRS scheduling. The only difference is how the queue is built.

Start one from the Review page when you are caught up, from the session complete screen, or via Practice on Home's struggling words card.

Session complete

When the queue is finished, you see how many cards you reviewed and next-step buttons — more due cards, practice struggling words, open Triage, or return to Home.

Session accuracy is not shown here. See the Stats page for accuracy trends.

Review history

There is no global review log. Open a word's detail page to see its Review health — review count, lapses, stability, and next review date.
