Global Search
Find words, notes, and sources without leaving your current page.
Open search
Click the search icon in the top navigation bar. The search field expands with the placeholder Search words, notes, sources…
On desktop, press ⌘K (Mac) or Ctrl+K to open search from the keyboard.
What search covers
Results are scoped to your current study language. Search looks across three areas:
| Section | Matches on |
|---|---|
| Words | Word text and translation |
| Notebook | Note title and body |
| Sources | Source name |
Each section shows up to four matches. Word results include status badges such as Needs triage, New, Learning, Mastered, flagged, or suspended.
At the bottom of the results, See all words matching "…" opens the Words page with the same query applied.
When to use global search vs Word filters
Global search is for jumping to something quickly from anywhere in the app. The Word Filters on the Words page are better when you want to browse or narrow a large collection with status, state, and flashcard filters.
